SUMMARY:Inclusion Experience at JFGD
DESCRIPTION:JFGD is holding a hands-on experiential learning experience created by Jewish Family Service to spread awareness\, understanding and compassion about what it is like to have a special need. Participants will understand the challenges experienced by individuals with one or more special needs through a variety of interactive stations including: auditory processing\, sensory processing\, fine and gross motor skills\, speech/language skills\, reading skills – dyslexia\, and executive function – ADHD.  \nAt each of these valuable experiential programs\, facilitators discuss observations with participants and help communicate the daily challenges of individuals with special needs. In turn\, The Inclusion Experience powerfully serves to reveal the need for greater sensitivity\, compassion and better inclusive practices for the benefit of people with special needs. Students don’t have to imagine what it would be like to have a disability\, they actually experience it\, first-hand. \n  \nNote: This is a private staff event.
