SUMMARY:Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) Group
DESCRIPTION:Parents Group \nChild-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) is a play-based treatment program for parents of young children presenting with behavioral\, emotional\, social\, and attachment disorders. \n  \nGoal: Strengthening the quality of the parent-child attachment bond as a means of reducing child behavior problems and stress in the parent-child relationship. \n  \nSkills: Parents learn skills to respond more effectively to their children’s emotional and behavioral needs. In turn\, children learn that they can count on their parents to reliably and consistently meet their needs for love\, acceptance\, safety and security. \n\nWho can attend: Parents who have children ages 3 to 8 \nWhen: Tuesdays at 7PM via Zoom. Begins February 15th through April 26th (no session during Passover week) \n10 sessions – closed group – must be an established client of JFS \nCost: $15 per session \nEmail: smartens@jfamilyservice.org to schedule a screening interview.
